SnapChat Junkie... I need to form a group. SJA. Who's with me?

Ok. I will admit it. I'm a Snapchat junkie. Kind of funny for a girl who absolutely hated to have her picture taken when she was a kid. And a young adult. And up until the time I found SnapChat.

It started off with the licking dog. That was it. Then the deer. I never did the voice thing though...as far as you know ;)

Babies having babies

What is it with all the young girls getting pregnant?  I just don't understand.  Are young ladies so insecure these days that they think the only way to get attention is by lying on their backs?  A 16-year old girl is pregnant with my grandchild and she is having a terrible time; her emotions are everywhere.  She is so young.  These young girls aren't ready for the expense and responsibility of a baby.  I don't know what I would have done if I had gotten pregnant that young.  I was 23 and I was freaking out.  I didn't get the chance to deal with that; God had other plans for me.

But girls, listen, you are in control of your bodies and your decisions.  If you don't sleep with him, and he leaves, he isn't worth your time and love anyway!  And if you are having sex for whatever reason, USE PROTECTION.  It not only prevents pregnancy, it prevents you from getting life-changing diseases.

Please, young men and women, you have to believe me.... don't grow up so fast.  I thought I knew it all when I was young.  I wish I had those years back.  I think most of us do.

Really?!

I'm so sick and tired of getting migraines that I just want to scream, except that would probably make me puke. How is it that I'm responsible for everyone else? I'm raising my sister's kid and taking care of our dad full-time. She lives with her boyfriend's parents. Think she could send a buck or two my way to help pay for her daughter? Of course not! Here I am trying to make ends meet and she has a new Android phone. Really?! I'm the one that never wanted kids, and now, because of her irresponsibility, I'm taking care of hers and have been for the last three years. THREE. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE my niece to pieces, and wouldn't give her up for the WORLD, but how can someone have a child, raise it for 8 years, and then just give it away?? Especially a kid as great as she is? Can anyone help me understand that???

Prayers

So many people in my life have loved ones in the hospital right now, myself included. Although my mother-in-law is getting sprung today, there are still beds full of people at Blessing. Some of them may not have people praying for them, so my goal is to remember to say a prayer for them along with my friend Kelly, my friend Ashley's grandma, and my friend Jaime's mom. Never take life for granted and always believe in the power of prayer! We have an awesome God. I love my family and my life right now (except for the blasted headache, that's been hanging on for two weeks). Sure, there are things that I wish could be better, but I also understand that I'm Blessed with many things.

My poor baby...

Bella had what was supposed to be a simple surgery on her eye yesterday. (She is our 5 1/2 year old German Sheperd) The vet thought it was a "cherry eye", but it turns out he was wrong. It is some unidentified mass. He sent it to the University for identification. Could be nothing, could be a cancerous tumor. I am heartbroken. She is my baby and has gotten me through a lot of rough times. No matter how long I am gone, if I go out for hours or just take the trash out, she is soooo happy to see me return! Oh if we could all have such unconditional love. The vet kept her overnight, so she wasn't even home last night for me to tell her it was allright. He said I could get her today, and I can't wait. Please keep her in your thoughts! She is a very important part of my family.

OUCH!

Okay, so this body isn't meant for squatting over and over. Seriously. I helped install chain link fence over the weekend, and it meant a lot of squatting, bending, tightening...etc. Manual labor, which I am not too terribly fond of LOL. Not only that, but did you know that if you smash your face into a steel post with a carraige bolt sticking out of it, the bolt doesn't give way? You pretty much take the full impact on your face. Of course, if I were wearing proper fencing footwear rather than my Tweety Bird sparkly flip-flops maybe I wouldn't have slipped face-first into said post. The things I have to learn the hard way!

weather

I don't know about you, but this weather sure makes my head hurt. And it doesn't need any help, especially since I'm married and I'm raising my 9 year old niece. The good thing is, HALLOWEEN is coming. I know, I'm weird, but I LOVE halloween. Seeing all the kids in their costumes and the creativity of some of them is just awesome. Plus, the leaves will be changing.
